关于Hairmax 激光生发梳

引言

由于最近2月份FDA新批准了这个激光梳，那么到目前为止经过FDA 许可的用于生发止脱的产品就有了三种：保发止，米诺蒂尔，激光梳。但可能很多朋友还不了解，所以我在网上仔细搜了一下这个东西的介绍和用户以及医生的评价，借这个帖子跟大家分享一下。

1．HairMax LaserComb(激光生发梳)是什么？

是由Lexington International LLC（美国佛罗里达州）生产制造，用途在于提供头发强化健康及营养效益的低功率激光疗程(Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT))。 LLLT是用激光束刺激的天然特性，就科学上的过程而言是光生物激发(PhotoBioStimulation)的原理去改善头发的质素及厚度。产家宣称可以增加19 根头发每平方厘米的头皮上。

6个月后的对比实验数据表明，对于额头两侧脱发的患者，男性头发数目平均增加了74.1%，女性55.2%。而对于头顶脱发的患者，男性增加了120.1%，女性64.9%。而平均所有的算起来都比治疗前多出了93.5% 的新生头发。

另外，头发拉伸实验的结果表明，对于额头两侧脱发的患者，男性头发强度平均增加了64.4%，女性82.6。而对于头顶脱发的患者，男性的增加了89.3%，女性71.1%。而平均所有的算起来比治疗前头发强度增加了78.9%。

5．用户的评价

· I have been using the hairmax comb and minoxidil(3%) for a little over two months and the results have been that areas where I was losing hair( one patch on the crown, one patch on the front) are growing back in. I was getting to the point of thinking of shaving my head, but my wife found this comb over the net and despite my being sceptical at first, I am now a firm believer that it works. It is more expensive, but how much money would you end up spending on a hair transplant?

· OMG. In addition to food and drugs (among other things), the FDA regulates both medical and non-medical lasers. Note: regulates is the operative word. That is, they want to keep harmful devices off the market (e.g., the overpowered green lasers recently appearing in Gizmodo articles). If a non-medical laser device is safe, the FDA doesn't care whether it's effective. It's the FCC that is in charge of stopping deceptive advertising.

FDA approval is irrelevant to whether this device actually grows hair, which of course it doesn't. The device uses the same type of red laser found in laser pointers. Does anyone believe a laser pointer will grow hair? If so, I have $600 hair-growing laser pointers for sale. The FDA approval didn't validate the conclusions of the hair-growing study. The FDA will never approve this thing as a *medical device.* Duh.

· I used the hairmax laser comb (bought off e-bay for $200). Unfortunetly I tried it before propecia (which I wish I had started earlier). The only thing I ever thought from it, was that it makes my hair look better when I use it regularly. I had in fact pretty much stopped using, except sparingly, until roughly 4 weeks after my HT. I was a little frustrated with the continuing pink hue my scalp had. I started using it once/twice a week the last few weeks. Don't know if it was a factor, but the pink quickly faded. It also reminded me of how it does make my hair look better when I use it. But then again, my hair might look better if I slowly combed my hair backward three times for 15 min.

I seriously doubt anyone had 19 h/cm grow b/c of this comb. I am amazed it got FDA approval. At the same time, some folks respond well to Propecia (I did), some to Rogain (I hat that Sh#$#t), and maybe some to the lasercomb. February 09

I've tried rogaine, hairlaser treatments, follicle sprays of sorts, vitamins, diet, and in the last 1.5 years propecia. Propecia seems to have brought my crown to a very strong point. Everything else was seemingly a waste of time and money. I will say that laser treatments (hand held comb) makes my hair look better, but never seen any growth from it.

· IMO, a double blind independent study is the only way to go. Half the people go in so many times a week and get treated with the real laser brush, the other half gets the non laser brush (without knowing of course) It's the only way to make sure.
